Real life has had me away from EVE for a while. I am back and with a new corp, EVE marines, and have already started prowling nulsec for targets. I have more plans for a video podcast in the works, stay linked for that later.

Here, behind the scenes of Me Vs EVE we get a crap ton of spam. Most of the time it’s just broken links or absolute gibberish. However occasionaly something amusing pops up.
Today, for the first time in a long time, we got something different! Spam advertising WoW gold farming! Im aware this has been around forever, and had that been gold/gp farming for just about any other mmo/fps/rpg I would have left a little note for the admins of said game. But not with WoW. No, im not telling the admins about this one.
On a similar note, anyone up for a romantic vacations getaway to long Island? We get lots of spam for that.

Sorry about the extended absence. There is a good reason and I shall explain it right now.

Three things lead to this; one: My hard Drive. Two; A can of coke. Think you know where this is going? Three; My one year old sister.
Yeah. Hard drive is fried. This was all a few weeks ago, the computer was under warranty and I had no data worth saving so I sent it in. Three weeks later I had no response so I called them. It was done but “because of the holiday” (apparently New Years is offensive now too) they would not have it in until Monday and that they would call me then. No problem, I had already gone three weeks what is two more days?
Monday, no call. I phone them. “Because of the holiday” it would not be in until Wednesday. Ok fine, can we pick one date? Please? Also who the hell takes four days off for New Years? The only reason I have it off is because it is a week after Christmas.

Fortunately the good Fleet Admiral noticed my disappearing and filled in.
In other news I’ll be giving Startrek Online a whirl. I’ll still have EVE but I may be on a little less as I try this new one. By the looks of it I will only be playing a month or two (unless CCP surprises us with incarna).

Cdr. Starkiller hasn’t posted in a while, and I haven’t been in/been able to contact him, so my guess falls on his computer not working, or he is away for the holidays.
Not much news from the front, the Eve Chronicles are set to return January 11, 2010.

It is not like me to do two posts in one day, but I feel this is called for.
EVE online has a few podcasts going out most (if not all) are quite a joy. After one of winterblink’s podcasts a friend of mine told me a should do a video one. I have done them before so I have some experence with these and I can give you an insight to what would be in these. First though I would like to make it clear that these are not in character in any way. Some of the things you will see.
-Comments on latest CCP news.
-Comments on alliance news and wars.
-Points about different parts of EVE.
-Different guides on how things are done.
-Something to watch when you are bored.
The set would have a fairly sci-fi-ish feel. I happen to have a few EVE maps and posters I can use as background. As for apparel I would wear the EVE costume a lot of pilots got to see at the Canadian fan Expo this year (based on the one shown in the hour long walking in stations demo).

Sad news first.
Chainer Cygnus over at corrupted datacore is shutting down and quitting eve. I am very sad to hear this, I have quite enjoyed reading his posts. Good luck my friend, and fly… drive safe.
Onto some slightly less depressing news.
First off I am filing a restraining order on Hallan Turrek because of a quote at the begging of this wonderful, albeit chilling, story. My name is Richard and my brother’s name is Geoffrey therefore the only reasonable conclusion is that he (and everyone else) is out to get me.
CCP released a new video on scanning. I expect to see quite a few new victims out there in W-space now.

A little late for this news, for the last few weeks I have joined up with the great guys over at Failed Creation. Though lack of a computer stops me from being with them now (I am typing from an Ipod) I plan to be back with them ASAP.

My computer be dead. As I type this from my ipod I and trying every trick in the book to reset my computer’s partitions. Slow and unsuccessful work. What I hate most is that my corp has no idea where I am and (unless some of them are reading this) won’t until I am back. I’ll keep working at it.

It is finally up. I love the planets, it really makes you feel like you are over a planet, and not a very large roid like before.
One glitch I have found, whenever I fire flameburst missiles from my inty myself and everyone in my fleet get a flash as if they were hit. No damage, just the flash, odd yes, but not to big. The SOUND though is a different issue, I do not mind the radio chatter, I am able to let it become background (thanks to some real life experience) but the sound cutting in and out is very annoying.
yay I finally got my hands on a tablet. It’s been a while since I’ve used anything like this so I plan to spend a few weeks practicing drawing my characters and EVE ships and getting some storyline together. Then Escape Velocity is BACK!
